The Texas A&M School of Public Health is dedicated to transforming health through their students by providing student leadership development, innovative solutions and interdisciplinary inquiry. University of North Texas Health Science Center

School of Public Health

The School of Public Health offers students an educational resource for both obtaining their degree in public health and work experience through hands on public health practice. Public health education is easily accessible to their students providing them with the ability to serve, protect and promote overall health. The school is always doing research and taking part in different projects. Some of their current projects they are involved in include Diabetes Research, Education and Metabolic Studies (DREAMS) and Promotoras. Promotoras is geared towards how to provide and promote health education. The School of Public Health is a member of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health, Association of University Programs in Health Administration, American Public Health Association, Texas Public Health Association and AcademyHealth.

Master of Public Health

Students enrolled in the Master of Public Health degree program will be trained in developing and improvising public health services. Students will be taught how to recognize the social, economic, cultural and environmental factors that take part in public health issues. As a student working towards a degree in public health at the UNT Health Science Center, they will be equipped with the knowledge to develop or revise social policies that will lead to healthy public and community health practices. School of Public Health

The School of Public Health is dedicated to improving the status of public health through research and public health education of their students. Students are provided with the tactics necessary to be great public health professionals in diverse communities. Students will be able to use learned proven methods to serve their communities by protecting the people in them and promoting good health practices in the public and community. Students will learn through a more hands on approach with teamwork engagement utilizing research skills surrounding public health. This school is also the only school in the nation to have regional campuses in different areas of Texas. Students are able to attend class at any of the six campuses through Interactive Television.
