With a community approach for enhancing wellness among whole population groups, the program strives to develop public health practitioners for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating outreach programs. In the 42-credit curriculum, students are given the freedom to choose a concentration in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health, Health Behavior and health Education, Health Policy and Management, or Rural Public Health Practice. All MPH students will be required to complete a minimum of 200 clock hours of supervised fieldwork in a public health-related organization.
